Short Description

The primary goal of this model is to utilize an Analytical Network Process (ANP) to determine what the U.S. Government should do regarding the 2.3% Excise Tax on medical devices. Alternatives in consideration are the following: 1. Keep the Tax; 2. Repeal the Tax; 3. Adjust Tax to be based on Profit. The ANP uses a combination of strategic criteria against the Benefits, Costs, Opportunities, and Risks (BCOR) of alternatives in order to prioritize outcomes and determine the best possible course of actions.
